Qualitative Quality This issue of Security and Life Magazine is published while Naif Arab University
for Sustainable for Security Sciences (NAUSS) is experiencing a great cognitive and administrative
Security momentum. This comes in conjunction with the University preparations to obtain
institutional accreditation, following the signing of the institutional accreditation
For a renewed encounter contract with the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation in the
in another edition Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (the host country) in March of last year. This achievement
highlights NAUSS vision and strategy, further enhancing its role as the scientific arm of
the Arab Interior Ministers Council (AIMC). NAUSS aims to be a pioneering institution
in qualifying leaders and experts in security fields, while continuously improving
the quality of its academic and administrative systems by adopting the best practices
of planning, quality of education, scientific research, and innovation applied by the
educational institutions. Such efforts uphold NAUSS reputation both regionally and
internationally, as the Saudi institutional accreditation certificate is recognized for its
reliability, credibility, and international reference.
The magazine has dedicated this issue to focusing on aspects of human rights, which are
among the central subjects that shape NAUSS programs.
Human rights are a fundamental pillar in the strategies and security plans adopted by
AIMC. NAUSS has given utmost importance to human rights in its various scientific,
training, and research programs. This reflects NAUSS commitment to this vital field,
which is closely related to maintenance of security and societal stability.
The issue also documents the achievements of “NAUSS Work Program” during the
first half of 2023. This program included numerous scientific activities derived from
the recommendations of AIMC meetings. It has been implemented through strategic
partnerships between NAUSS and relevant organizations and institutions at both the
Arab and international levels. We hope that these programs and activities have assisted
in realizing NAUSS strategic vision and objectives.
The successful implementation of NAUSS annual program and its achievements in its
field of specialization over the past years owe their success, first and foremost, to the
grace of Allah first and foremost, and the generous support and unlimited care provided
by the government of the host country (the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) under the leadership
of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Deputy Prime Minister, and the Minister of
Defense, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah protect them.
NAUSS has also benefited from the wise support and guidance of His Royal Highness
Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior, the honorary
president of AIMC, and the chairman of NAUSS Supreme Council. This has enabled NAUSS
to establish itself as the house of security expertise on both the Arab and international
levels.
At the conclusion of this statement, I am pleased to welcome the new members of the
Security and Life Magazine advisory board, who occupy a leading position in security
media field in the Arab Ministries of Interior and include Arab media experts. We hope
that more expert members may join the advisory board during the upcoming phase.
